Alycha Reda "Ally"
Alycha Reda began her career as a public speaker and activist. Surviving sexual assault and online luring at the age of 16 her voice and story shows how important it is to not be silent. Alycha was victimized by one of ontario most notorious Internet sex predators Mark Bedford of Kingston Ontario . Her case made international headlines. Since 2008 She has traveled across Canada speaking with youth, adults, law enforcement and others to share her experience. Encouraging others to reach out for help with mental illness or report abuse. Following her public events, 100’s have approached her to disclose their abuse they endure. Alycha has one important message to get out to the Canadian citizens and canadian government That awareness in the field of sexual violence and mental health will slowly end the stigma of staying silent her recent #thisisawareness campaign helps people on the Internet remind themselves to not stay silent and remember it does get better “
